I haven’t had one of those kind of dates in like 20 years. Pre-Netflix. But I don’t see anything wrong with it. If you go out other times, the occasional “watch TV and chill” date is refreshing and relaxing. No need to get dressed up to watch shows, cuddle, and potentially have sex.

I agree, if you’ve gone out other times, there’s nothing wrong it. However, Netflix and chill for a first date should be off limits.
